Path whitened with soft, scented petals,
Scattered afro from ole Magnolia tree.
Strolling down my familiar little pathway,
Toward a refuge, where I yearned to be.
Oh soft, vibrant slow Southern breeeze,
Scented by sweetened air.
Floating me down my favorite pathway,
With abandon, yet slowly with care.
Vivid colours, of Spring intermingle,
With memories that long ago sleep.
The further, along down my pathway,
Reawakened, to thoughts I should keep.
Then onward, down my little pathway,
My soul lifted, about to finally soar.
I hesitate, to end this journey,
Turning the key, then open the door.
