I have had the key to many hearts,
but given out so many more.
with golden dreams, promising starts,
the locks changed on the door.
What will I do when I have no more keys,
will I never love again?
None left to give, none I had been given,
left alone and unforgiven.
My heart will lock, close up tight,
never to open again.
Hidden forever from the glorious light,
trying in vain to remember when...
There was youth, light and love to give,
and anything I could forgive.
The world was mine, a rich life to live,
but my heart I did outlive.
