Hope for man...woman?
by Walter Jones (Age: 63)
copyright 02-05-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

My hands lay

down upon

the keys

that will

lead each

to Heaven

The door

screams in

pains memory

You are

a part

of this

the last

tear drop

Cry not

for man

he weeps

enough for

all the

children past

Step forward

except pain

Hell is

what earth

lives for

Another famine

some person's

personal war

Pleasure by

ease that

lingers at

each turn

Step aside

let it

all end

As it

once was

so it

shall be

No sadness

to be

happly blessed

no pain

to find

Livid success

I live

you die

the world

continues on

But somewhere

love exists

hope finds

its home

Another man / woman

tries again

And therein may lie our salvation:

"Another man / woman

tries again"

Or perhaps our curse.

Still, it seems that we doomed, perhaps blessed, to maintain the trial of life.

Hope finding it's home. I like the way this ended as it began. Those tiny lines, read like a drip down the page, tears falling. I just shake my head, in awe.

My heart hears the pain and hope in your poem. “The door screams in pains memory /You are a part of this the last tear drop…”. A right and touching words. I like that work.
Hope for man... woman. Hope for woman... man.
