Let My Soul Walk Free
by Theresa Jodray
copyright 07-28-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Psalm 19.1
"The heavens are telling the glory of God;
and the firmament proclaims his handiwork."

I went to sleep last night to let my soul walk free
I flew up to the heavens to see what I could see
I looked about the stars to try and find mine
The one God made for me representing my earthly time
I wondered did it shine bright or have a dim lit light
I swam about the clouds then found the crescent moon
I stayed there for awhile to listen to his glorious tune
I heard my body calling my soul to come home now
So I returned my soul to sleep knowing I'd be back some how
I never found my star but know again when I fly free
This time between the dusk and dawn is a special place to be
So tonight when I sleep to let my soul walk free
I'll fly up to the heavens to see what I can see

I liked this but wondered why one line was singled out? All the others have a rhyming line but one. Maybe its because it was a dim light! Anthony

This is a thrilling flight, Theresa!
And the rhythm flies right along with the
experience....very nicely woven!
