There is a solitude
that only few can find
it is a place
they live in
inside their mind

The loss of life
the will to live
gives them a place to hide
it is a burning up
of everything inside

Images of self worth
run like water
down the drain
It is taken there
by despair and pain

No human voice
no special friend
this passage can stop
hope just ends

There are few answers
but one is true
the most cruel person
is you to you
