There are not many stories about Saturn, the Roman god of time. His Greek name was Cronos, and he was the father of Jupiter, Neptune, and Pluto. He was also called Old Father Time.

In Rome, they had a festival in the middle of winter called Saturnalia, which was in honour of Saturn. This was one of the precursors to Christmas. It was seven days of feasting and drinking and merrymaking.

Sailor Saturn is not at all like her mythological namesake. In fact, Sailor Saturn is more like the god Pluto than Saturn. Sailor Pluto is like the god Saturn. It appears that the makers of SM reversed the two - on purpose?
