Painful Good-byes
by Christopher Doss (Age: 21)
copyright 02-28-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

Painful Good-byes
Memories tugging at my heart
Heaven calls you
yet we will never be apart

I am your child
Within me you will always live
You're in my heart
Past contentions I do forgive

Your cry for help
I let fall upon my deaf ears
My selfishness
will haunt me throughout all my years

Forgive me please
for your disappointments in me
My love for you
was something you refused to see

I hope pain dies
with the shell encasing your soul
Please find some peace
from all that was beyond control

Dear Chris, you are heart of gold. You are a true poet.
Mother never has a grudge against her child. She always and all understand. I sure there is a deep invisible contact between you and your mother. She hears your voice and she smiles hearing your poem filled with a love. Thank you for my happiness to read your poem. _ Øêøòôþ
