In Greek mythology, Uranus was the sky - husband to Gaea (or Gaia) the earth. Saturn (father of Jupiter/Zeus) was their son. Uranus has no Roman name.

Sailor Uranus has a strange similarity to her Greek namesake. When Sailor Saturn is reborn, Sailors Uranus, Neptune, and Pluto take care of her for a time. Sailor Uranus is almost like a parent to Sailor Saturn, and the god Uranus was the father of Saturn.

However, Sailor Uranus also has something in common with the Roman god Neptune. For details, see the next chapter. :)
