Sailor Moon Column
Pluto Mythology
by Esther Spurrill (Age: 29)
copyright 03-11-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

  Sailor Moon Column

Pluto was the Roman god of the Dead. The Greeks called him Hades. Jupiter and Neptune were his brothers and Juno was his sister. His wife's name was Proserpine (Gr: Persephone), the daughter of Ceres (Gr: Demeter), the goddess of the Earth.

Sailor Pluto is more like the god Saturn than her namesake. Like Saturn, she is the guardian of time. However, her attack "Dead Scream/Deadly Scream" sounds like soemthing the god of the dead might say.
