Nostrils flaring, tongue tasting the pungent air
Eyes chips of jade, reflecting moon’s pale light
The she-wolf seeks food for the whelps in her lair

The rabbit is trembling, while dying to be still

Fear scent ambrosia - precursor to the kill

Carnivore’s cunning as she crawls oh, so slow
Fear scent ambrosia - precursor to the kill
Fangs glistening white, as the bitch growls low

Carnivore’s cunning as she crawls oh, so slow
Meek rodent is frozen, unable to flee
Fangs glistening white, as the bitch growls low
Miraculous escape just not meant to be

Jaws crush fur throat in the blink of an eye
