You Belong To Me

Why carry you those heavy chains?
Why toil and sweat for earthly gains?
Why keep those burdens on your soul,
when I have taken full control.
Now Heaven has become your goal.
You belong to Me.

Why turn away from those in need?
The wanting cry, why won't you heed?
The enemy will strike your face.
This world may seem a lonely place,
But truth you'll find within My grace.
You belong to Me.

No more your wandering soul to roam.
Within your heart My love is home.
The storms of life are sure to come,
but there's no need for you to run.
Your refuge is in Christ, my son.
You belong to me.

So take about My shield and sword.
Stand up with strength in faith and word.
No place you tread I do not go.
I'm by your side with friend or foe.
You are My child and you should know
that You belong to Me.
