Endless Fate
by Meg Horner (Age: 19)
copyright 03-22-2003

Age Rating: 18 to 127

the rainbow paints a picture among the sky
i hear her lifeless whisper, and the silence of her cry

her candle blew out with the wind, and fell with hate
my mom's breathe cut short by the endless hope of fate

She was my best friend, whenever i needed love
Always taking my hand and reaching high above

I knew she was something great with everything she did
I was the luckiest girl and the happiest kid

Each morning she made the sun shine bright
Guiding me through the dark, and letting there be light

But now I am here, alone, without her by my side
I've forgotten how to smile, for my eyes have only cried

I know she's looking down, and wishing she were with me,
to hold me close and tell me i'm her baby

The wind blows through my locks of hair
and i feel unsheltered, almost bare

My heart begins to feel all sad and angry all together,
but i know she's with me, always, now and forever.
