Innocent scream!!
by Sarah West (Age: 19)
copyright 03-24-2003

Age Rating: 10 to 127

Iraqi children scream,
in one sad theme,
I saw them all in my dream.

They wanted me to hold them in my arm,
hoping I would protect them from harm.

I looked at one lonely child,
she looked back at me and smiled,

I looked at her innocent eyes,
I could tell that she was saying good-byes,
I watched her as she slowly dies.

I didn't know what to do,
but than I finally knew.
she wanted peace and something new.

By: Heba.......this is the name I want my PNP friends to call me NOT Sarah.

**This is for all the innocent children of Iraq that love peace and hate war, that want a nice place to be living in**

Heba: Excellent expression of concern and love for others. It is everyone's hope these kids are safe from harm.. Nice job.

Heart touching imagery, Sarah. A lession to Mr Bush and Blair, who never know the merciful crying of children for want of warm peace.
Deeply touched my heart.Indeed everyones's hearts ache by this words,
"They wanted me to hold them in my arm,
hoping I would protect them from harm."

Sad, but true Sarah..the little ones always suffer in any war..If only people could learn to live together and love one another...In the fourth stanza, it should be "died"

Best
Lyle
