Listen closely, as the scenery
screams...
Your breath lost in the glare
and within every seem,
as a look’s frozen there
inducing a dream.
While anxiety feeds
on your courage stood still
be aware of your needs
for a speech that will fill
this moment with ease
as there’s words to construe,
for a look’s just a tease
as if birds never flew.
And the logic’s not there,
but the eyes do have lips.
These tones spoken bare,
for insinuation clips
words free from the blare,
yet the message still leaks
as within every stare
is the silence that speaks.
