"To the little one who left me a very short while ago: Whose face I only saw in my dreams."
You never took a breath
But Heaven knew you
And picked you up in arms, I’d never hold.
You never cried a tear
But Heaven knew you
And swept you far away from pain or cold.
You never saw my face,
But Heaven knew you
And let you see God’s face before us all.
You never heard my voice,
But Heaven knew you
And whispered words to give God’s early call.
I never watched your breath,
But Heaven knew you
And someday I will hold you in my arms.
I never wiped your tears,
But Heaven knew you
And took you far away from hurt or harm.
I never saw your face,
But Heaven knew you
And haloed you in love beyond my own.
I never heard your voice
But Heaven knew you.
Someday we’ll sing together in God’s Home.

Every time I read this particular piece, my heart is glad with joy, for today I am not sad or hurt by what the lord has done to me. We are never alone in our ventures of finding reasons why, sometimes we just have to let go and pray for brighter days. And as it seems, my prayers were answered a little less than a year ago, as now I have my son, my oh so precious son that I have dreamed of for so long....And he has come to my arms as Heaven Knew Him....Thank you so much for this piece Pepper, as it has given me the strength to never give up hope.
For such precious things come and go. But to those even more so than others we hold in our hearts forever. There are days where the pain just wont stop, days where the agony my body seethed in just wont end, and a heart that breaks into thousands of more pieces as I greive with my childs father as I watch him burn with his own undieing pain.
For if I could do it over, I would do it differently. For we have not lost hope in having another.
