Always With Me

No matter what life brings my way,
On one great truth my heart can stay;
My faith will cling to only Thee,
Because Thou art always with me.

Amidst the darkness of the night,
Or by the shadows of death’s light,
There is no place I am not free
Because Thou art always with me.

Though all the earth may turn away,
Though I loose hope or words to pray,
I’ll rest assured in truth from Thee.
My God, Thou art always with me.

So with your love to spurn me on,
In confidence, I’m not alone.
Your faithfulness shouts out clearly,
“My child, I am always with Thee.”
