Gone A Fishin ( Message To Candy)
by Janet Owenby
copyright 04-06-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

A message to you my friend,
it's fishin season again.
So I might just dissapear;
packin up my fishin gear.

There's times I like dressin in style,
but im lettin down my hair awhile.
Headin back to my country roots,
puttin on my ol' fishin boots.

No God ain't took away my soul;
I just got a new fishin pole.
So now I gotta give it whirl,
down where the rushin rapids swirl.

Things are gonna get excitin,
if them big fish are a bitin.
I got my redworms in a can,
so grease up that OL' fryin pan.

I am not gonna come back,
with an empty fishin sack.
Don't get in a tizzy and fret,
if months pass and I ain't back yet.

Don't worry your perdy lil' head,
Heck NO! My friend I ain't dead.
Nor have I just went a missin,
I have just been gone a fishin.

Someone I can relate to. Gone fishing is a great way to be.
There is nothing like a lively trout on the line, unless of course it's in the pan.
