When the grey clouds gather within,
and I'm drowning in my sorrow
When I think about giving in,
all my hopes lost for tomorrow.
You're always there to understand,
the dwelling heartache of my pain.
You extend your masculine hand,
and we go walking in the rain.
When the dark storm threatens my eyes,
and the loud thunder fills my heart.
You're right there to hear my sad cries,
and dry my tears before they start.
Your bright smile says you understand,
from the gentle words you refrain.
Instead, you extend your strong hand,
and we go walking in the rain.
Bitter winds carry me away,
but you bring my feet to the ground.
You silently beg me to stay,
as your powerful arms surround.
My sweet loving and caring man,
you chase away my storms of pain.
You gently grasp my tender hand,
and we go walking in the rain.
