O heart of mine, where hast thou gone?
I wander here so all alone.
My life breaths out a mournful tone.
Return before I change to stone.
O heart of mine, where didst thou flee?
Thou disappeared, deserting me.
Thou captureth me, with love so free.
Return, I'll die from loss of Thee.
O heart of mine, why didst thou roam?
Within my arms, you once called home.
My soul grows weak, like broken bone.
Return, remember joy once known.
O heart of mine, dost thou not hear?
Can thou not see my pain, my tears?
Recall lost love held true and dear.
Return, for death lingereth near.
Return, or death shall seize me here.
