Armageddon
by John C.
copyright 08-04-2001

Age Rating: 18 to 127

Cancerous tumor eating away
Can’t you see hates to pay
Many men thrown away
Due to hates grotesque way
I know not how to spell
But hate cannot tell
Can’t you see hates equal opportunist way?
It gives not a damn about the day
Can’t you see or can’t you say
Hate stands at deaths door
My son knows not war
His minions standing alone
On a hill understanding plans
Of a battle not won: cold war ends
No one knows better. Are we children still?
Battles without guns

These are very powerful words. Look forward to reading more of your works.

Very symbolic thought provoking poem which gives a person much to think about. I also read your profile and agree...I'd rather be listening to Metallica too! ~smiling~

Bang Bang,The bad guy falls,
Bang Bang, Now Mommy calls,
Shall we end all disputes,
In Montezuma's Halls?

Play dead then get back up,
Play dead for you're in luck,
Only a children's game,
But it gets real enough.

... seems like I've been inspired to write one as well. :) Thank you.
