I Choose To Be Like Him!

I Choose To Be Like Him!
Sharon Bishop..©

If I should choose
to speak words of hate,
gloom and doom,
would I become more exceptable
to the world around me?
If I explort the darkest
words that poetry
has to share
would that make
you happier,
would that make you care?

If I should write of
blood and strife,
of killing with the
gun and the knife,
would that help
your mind to see
some kind of happy light.

Or if I send out cyber paper
with anger, dispair
and heartfelt guilt,
would that make anyone's day
any brighter,
would that make anyone's path
any lighter?

I am a light of
positive energy flowing,
I am the reddest rose
in the garden growing,
I feel all;the good that
life can give,
I disburst all the happy
words I feel!

I am not ashame
of the light in me,
and so it is very sad
that others can not see.

I am really a ray of sunshine,
living in a hard cold world
of hateful times,
where people,
criticize me for having
Joy divine,
and having a complete
knowledge of My Master
and My Lord above!
Because of Him,
I dwell in skys blue
with lilly white doves.
I will not keep silent
or cover my heavenly words,
I will speak loudly,
and somewhere in some forum,
I will be heard.

Uh oh! Now I feel really bad! Ok, I will start writing my happy stuff, honest! And I love it when you write happy things, don't let people tell you that's it's not good. *smile*
