A Melody brings Emotion

When I think about the first time,
You saved me from death.
Thought I'd found a companion
Life long and true.

When my love came through the door,
You weren't too sure,
But my happiness made you pounce,
Jumping around for joy.

Luna, I'd give anything,
To see you again,
Feel the protection again,
And feel safe again.

When I think about the first time,
You and me, the lights down low,
I thought you cared,
I thought you'd stay.

Ever since I can remember,
It was just you and me,
Then it was me and the arguments,
Then it was me you left at the door.

I never had that person to see me through,
Never had a shoulder to cry on,
Just a knife to lean on,
Tell me I'm lying.

Just to see you all again,
I would give anything,
My world, all my love.
Anything to go back and change what went wrong.

Now it's not just a rainy day,
I have the good and the bad.
A Luna reincarnation,
Love, and a shoulder to cry on.

All that from a melody,
The emotion flows, and shows my words.
I know how I feel now,
I know the song brings life.
