Beyond the Yellow Brick Road

Beyond the Yellow Brick Road
Sharon...©

Pink and Purple rain
falls across the blue skies of my red eyes
filled with tears of glass each time we say goodbye.
My Heart skips a beat and I cry.

As I watch you walk beyond the yellow
brick road of our love.
Thoughts of your kiss fly across my face
like a beautiful white dove.

I race to the thought of you, no space or time
Your soft and warm touch rest in the corners of my mind

At the end of the day, as calgon takes me away,
I wonder after all we have been through,
after all our sorrows,
will you still love me tomorrow

Then I hear your strong voice,
as you sweetly call my name again.
And I think to myself before I answer...
let the love games begin!

And although we drift away every now and then,
I realize our love is a cycle that will never end.
For as we continue in times of love and fun,
I understand the true meaning that we are one.

filled with tears of glass each time we say goodbye... I LOVE THAT! And Robert's right... absence makes the heart grow fonder. *smile*
