Fairytale of Tears

Crowned her with a bright golden band,
and promised her eternity.
She wore his token on her hand,
vowing to his eternal plea.

The pearl castle had turned to stone,
as their love faded through the years.
Their once loving kingdom has gone,
love's just a fairytale of tears.

He slams the door and disappears,
averting from her tear stained face.
Made love a fairytale of tears,
letting another take her place.

Heartbroken by the years of lies,
she packs her bags and disappears
She wipes the liquid from her eyes,
leaving the fairytale of tears.

Now the prince sits alone and cries,
within his fairytale of tears.
The pain revealed within his eyes,
for the one, he lost through the years.

When love's magic spell is broken,
it turns to heartache through the years.
When untruthful words are spoken,
love's just a fairytale of tears.
