(Dedicated to the multitude of preschoolers I work with on a daily basis:)
I do not like green snot on me.
I do not like it, no siree.
I do not like it on my nose, or in my ears, or on my clothes.
I do not like it in my hair.
I do not like it anywhere.
Do you take your meds or not?
If you did you would not snot.
You wipe, you run, and out it goes, on tables, chairs, nobody knows.
I do not like green snot on me.
I do not like it, no siree.
Do you share it with your friends?
If so, green snot will never end.
I do not want to have it too, so I best stay away from you.
I do not like green snot on me.
I do not like it, no siree.
Do you go or work at school?
Then seeing snot is one class rule.
It starts in autumn, then winter's next, and spring brings more as you suspect.
I do not like green snot, you see.
Please try to stay away from me.
You do not like it, so you say,
but you will see it anyway.
And it will end up on your clothes and in your hair. That's how it goes.
You may not like it here or there,
but you will see it everywhere.
