A lonely heart barely beats
As it's giving up the fight
Wrinkled skin can't remember
Warmth of holding someone tight
Blurry vision fades the dreams
That live only in the night
Tired hands now lose their grip
While this darkness kills the light
(Chorus)
Souls are like plants
They need water to live
Something in return
For all that they give
They need some refreshment
To stay alive
They need water like love
For them to thrive
He closes his eyes tonight
They haven't teared in ages
He lived his life day by day
And passed thru all it's stages
Worked for more than just his boss
Yet hardly got his wages
His book of life is filled up full
Writing crammed in all its' pages
(Chorus)
Souls are like plants
They need water to live
Something in return
For all that they give
They need some refreshment
To stay alive
They need water like love
For them to thrive
He won't wake in the morning
He won't live another day
He's done all he cares to do
And said all he wants to say
He welcomes the coming peace
As he slips into his sleep
Submerging his consciousness
Another soul for God to keep

Hmmm...very nice! I can safely assume this a song with out assuming doing what it does best, right? Anyway, I really liked your choice of words here and the comparison of love being like pants. Because, in a way, it's very true. Being in love with a person can be a miserable experience that only leads to depression and other things in that department when nothing at all is gotten back. I have no capitalization picks, and I did not fine one error in site. Great work, keep writing!
Ok, ok, ok. So I feel old tonight. :) What is it called when you place your woes in another character, pretending it's really theirs in your writing? Gosh, I should have taken more English in college. *grin* I just wish I knew then that I love writing so much.
