Neighbors are target shooting
Cloths are all washed clean
Dishes are done,vaccum is run
time to just daydream

Birds are singing in the tree tops
Wind is blowing from the south
Music playing in the background
and I have cotton-mouth

Dusting can wait til tomorrow
Supper is hours away
I'll just close my eyes for a while
Enjoy the rest of this day

Resting on my recliner
Poetry book on my lap
Cup of tea beside me
Time to take a nap
