Tears

I have many friends,
Some are good,
And others will hurt you,
But why...?

[Chorus]
Tears.
Why do we cry?
Why do we laugh?
Is it because we’ve got friends?
Who use any means to achieve their ends?
Any means to achieve their ends…

I had friends like that once,
And then they were gone, in the blink of an eye,
With hearts and faces of stone,
One used the other as an alibi…

[chorus]
Tears.
Why do we cry?
Why do we laugh?
Is it because we’ve got friends?
Who use any means to achieve their ends?
Any means to achieve their ends…

Those friends will pass on,
Their deeds will be done,
And we can go on with our lives,
Thanking ourselves we didn’t believe their lies…

[Chorus]
Tears.
Why do we cry?
Why do we laugh?
Is it because we’ve got friends?
Who use any means to achieve their ends?
Any means to achieve their ends…

I often would pray for a perfect friend,
Because all my others had faults,
One was too greedy the other too messy,
And often would stink like a lying skunk!

[chorus]
Tears.
Why do we cry?
Why do we laugh?
Is it because we’ve got friends?
Who use any means to achieve their ends?
Any means to achieve their ends…

My friend, the reason we love our friends,
Is because of the little quirks they possess,
One can make you laugh, and the other can make you smile,
And make your life’s work seem worthwhile…

[Chorus]
Tears.
Why do we cry?
Why do we laugh?
Is it because we’ve got friends?
Who use any means to achieve their ends?
Any means to achieve their ends…

I cried today because of my friends,
One was ish, the other too crooked,
They used manipulation to achieve their ends,
And got themselves a one-way ticket to failure booked.

Very preety. Of course like the rest of us, I'd love to hear the tune!
