This is a poor man's breakfast. My father used to eat it in the 50's. I think it's a throw-back to the depression days.

A good size bowl of regular hot coffee, milk and sugar.
Throw in several cut-up pieces of Italian bread or plain white bread and you have azoop or azoopa.

Eaten with a spoon like a bowl of hot cereal.

This is from the older days. See Italians have a version too, bagels and cream cheese dipped in coffee, or donuts! My grandfather still does this!
