Where Do the Good Pets Go?

Where Do the Good Pets Go?

When they tire of fetching sticks,
And of performing other tricks,
Where do the good dogs go?

When they tire of catching mice,
And keeping themselves so clean, so nice,
Where do the good cats go?

When they tire of carrying men,
And joyfully running through the glen,
Where do the good horses go?

I've pondered deep, I've pondered strong,
Wondering to myself so long,
Where do the good pets go?

And now, profound thoughts, new to me,
are forcing me to see,
that all the pets go to pet heaven...
That's where the good pets go.

:-) My son will be happy to read this for sure! He wonders at times where a couple of his went. This is a nice shift from WHERE HAVE ALL THE GOOD MEN GONE (but my Mom set me straight... that questions assumes there were any to begin with)LOL/JK. Just wanted you to know I'm back. I see you haven't posted in awhile. I hope you are not gone, and if you are that you return. I sure miss some of the old friends here at PnP. I'm making new ones though. Hope to hear from you soon.

Your PnP Pal,

BrytEyz

I'm SOOOOO glad I read this. My cat, which is 10 and has been my baby for 10 years, is not doing really great. I've been down about her for four weeks. I've even asked my sister where animals go when they die. She said "they go go heaven too". Thank you! I cry, and cry, and I know now that I'm no alone. THEY DO GO TO HEAVEN TOO..waiting for us to be there with them. Thank you.

Hi Liz: Well, there are no bad pets, only bad owners! So all pets go to heaven. They weren't born in "original sin" as people were (according to the Roman Catholic Church teachings) and so, they must go to heaven!
Thanks for reading,
Bunny

Great poem, nice to know there is place where the good pets go, but it does bring up the question, where do the bad pets go?
