Rainy Day Man

Age Rating: 1 to 127

Once when I was crying,
when the world seemed dark and blue,
you came and sat right next to me
and knew just what to do.

You looked into my tearful eyes,
you smiled and just said "Hey",
"Do you mind if I join you,
I've kind of lost my way."

And right before I knew it,
under the sparkling stars,
we were laughing out our stomachs,
the world was truly ours.

I looked into your moonlit face,
not knowing your sweet name,
but we were friends until the end
so it was just the same.

You took my trembling hand in yours
and kissed my moistened cheek.
My face was wildly blushing,
for I took a little peek.

From that day on, we've been best friends,
inseperable and true,
but never had I dreamed a day
when I couldn't cry to you.

You said you had to go and help
another friend in need.
Then off you flew into the sky
to do your noble deed.

I still remember that cold night,
your kiss felt oh so sweet
and I will wait forever
until the day we meet.

And now I stand here all alone,
beneath the coldest rain,
and I would give just anything
to see you once again.

09-29-2004 Rebecca Couture

How do I write my feelings. This poem is so neat. It is like one I wrote long ago, but I didn't have the words as you have. It is a beautiful song. I wonder if we might be kindred spirits with much the same thoughts and feelings.

Awesome Regina, congrats

05-19-2003 Liz Cozens

Great poem, flowed really well, couple of little niggles "we were laughing out our stomachs" don't get this, i know you can laugh your head off, and laugh till your stomach hurts, and "until the day we meet.", should this have a next in it somewhere as in 'until the next time that we meet'?" Only my opinion!. L

05-10-2003 Kiki Simpson

This is really good. I could see it as a Lita/Ken thing, or a woman/guardian angel thing. It's versatile. And that helps to make it awsome piece. Different people will be touched in different ways, the way they need it/see it. VERY good.

05-08-2003 Regina S.

Yeah! That's exactly what I meant to say! (congradulations, you just summed up a 36 line poem in just a sentance) ^-^

05-08-2003 Caitlin M.

This very good. It reminds me of someone with a guardian angel. And he went to help someone else but still loved you.

05-07-2003 Nguyen Tran Quynh Anh

This is just like the Song Makoto sang for Ken. How beautiful!
Wonderful Job, Regina!

05-06-2003 Regina S.

Thanks a lot everyone. I worked forever to finish this poem. It never really came out to flow that good and I have a lot of extra stanzas left over so there might be a Rainy Day Man 2 poem (although not any time soon). Oh, and its not about sailor moon (although it could be) I just gave it that title because Rainy Day Man is my favoritest song and it suited the poem perfectly. ^-^

05-06-2003 Cleao Kavanagh

Beautiful! It suits the song's mood perfectly. You could almost think that actually was Lita talking about Ken. I love it it's wonderful! And I'll just shut up now!:)
