Worried Parent

I cry myself to sleep
praying for those in my keep

Asking God to understand
the flaws of me the man

Holding close the one I love
seeking guidance from above

Pleading for the burden to pass
take the cup is all I ask

Knowing well it is my turn to sip
of the life in side of it

Morning comes with burning light
troubles left in the dark of night

Children are all here
fears of dark have disappeared

Once again a answered request
once again I have been blessed

By God's love
