What Cost
by Christine Berthiaume
copyright 05-09-2003

Age Rating: 13 to 127

His wounds for our transgressions,
He was bruised for iniquites.
The punishment for our peace was on Him,
And by his stripes we were healed.

Yet it pleased our God to bruise Him,
His soul an offering for sin,
Releasing us from sorrow,
That we might join with Him.

Joining together around the world,
Reaching out to those that are lost.
Becoming more and more like Him,
Never caring for the cost...
Never caring for the cost

NOTE: Verse 1 and part of verse 2 are a paraphrased version of Isaiah 53:5 & 10a found in the bible.

I like it, but it seems to only whet my appetite to read more.

Of course, sometimes the Father gives us a message, and this may be all that needs to be said.

In general, I really enjoy your work!
