They move their tired bodies,
They continually struggle to breathe,
For their world is full of hurt and pain.
That makes them want to leave,
Our world ignores their problems,
And continually misunderstands.
That these are real living people,
That move throughout our lands,
And now as I think,
About all of this.
I realize there are many problems,
That this world lets go amiss,
For "our" world as we see it,
Is too caught up in its own,
To realize there are people,
That go without a home.

This poem is very true. You caught the dark side of this world that no one ever thinks about. It is true we do ignore a lot of things that go on in todays society. Some that shouldn't go unheard. Great message.
Yes, this does have a very good message as Anthony said. It's so sad because most people that live on the street can't get a job because no one will see them if their dirty. Sometimes the homeless choose to be homeless. For example, som e drug attics could get better if they gave up their vices and get "a life".
Good job,
Shannon
Unfortunately, many who look down upon the homeless don't stop to think about why they are homeless. Not all homeless people are drug addicts or alcoholics. Some end up that way because medical bills ate up their savings, or sometimes it could just be a string of bad luck. And it isn't easy to climb out of a rut that lands you there. Some employers won't give jobs to them simply because they are homeless. It's so sad that we live in a rich country that can't help their own homeless. Very good job!
Very good message. We tend to forget the less fortunate when we are caught up in our own worlds. We think that not going out to eat or going somewhere, is a real terrible thing. We don't realizs that there are people that have nothing to eat and nowhere to go! Great write. Thanks, Anthony
Good job on this Eugenia. :) I really like the message, and I agree with it. Being without a home would be one of the worst things in the world...we should all learn what Eugenia has learnt already. :) Good work, Eugenia.
