Code Of Ethics
by Janet Owenby
copyright 05-18-2003

Age Rating: 1 to 127

The following Code of Ethics has been set for all Full Members and JR Full Members at Prose-N-Poetry. This is a type of honor code we are asked to follow out of respect for our fellow co -authors and for the owner of Pnp, Mr. Robert Betts.

Note: F-M = Full-Members, Jr. F-M = Junior Full-Members

1) A commenter may leave suggestions, but if they wish to do a total rewrite, that should be e-mailed to the author, not left on comments

2) F-M's and Jr. F-M's should be willing to make helpful comments in workshop.

3) F-M's and Jr. F-M's should welcome new members to the site and help familiarize them with site features.

4) F-M's and Jr. F-M's should respect all members of the site never making rude or cruel remarks toward another author's work.

5) Be willing to form a sense of community as a whole with everyone working together through e-mails, and workshops.

6) Be willing to branch out and read and rate all work, not just that of specific members, try to read different works by different authors.

7) Be willing to help Bob Betts when asked with matters concerning the site.

8) F-M's and Jr. F-M's should try to set aside some time once a week to spend at PnP to make workshop comments and read others works.

9) Try to attend at least one meeting every other week.

10) All members should take into consideration who is reading their work.

11) Be Honest and Loyal members at PnP with no prejudices or vindictive acts formed against any member or the owner of PnP.

12) Be polite and courteous during meetings at PnP type floor to speak and yield when finished.

13) Always respect and consider the feelings of your co-authors at PnP.

14) All F-M's and Jr. F-M's should read and understand the terms of service.

I agree Janet. The only one I'll have problems with is the meeting one since the only time I have access to a computer is in the morning when I'm at school, but I'll work on it! Thanks for posting this up!

Janet, this is great and I agree with what's been stated..now I'll tell you this right up front about my job at Michael's Arts and Crafts..since I transferred to the floral department, I'm working mainly at night, so don't know if I'll be able to make it to meetings, but I do read the minutes that Jewell writes up and make comments if need be.
