Here I wait in the solitude of a memory.
Faces drift in and out through space and time,
your visage beams clear, beyond the dream.
Your eyes seize mine, familiar yet glowing strange.
Your heart beckons mine from distant time and space.
Should I recall love once touched by fire?
I see nothing except the faith lighting your gaze.
I hear nothing but your voice entreating me
to take your hand and leap from the fog.
My mind calls for constancy of the familiar.
Security weighs down my feet as a stone
but my heart seeks for freedom in love.
Yesterday becomes lost in a storm of passion.
This moment hangs on the edge of a precipice
Tomorrow hides in your outstretched hand.
I LEAP!
