Who Would Give Drugs To a Child?
by Moses Hochstetler (Age: 60)
copyright 05-23-2003

Age Rating: 7 to 127

There are smooth-talking shysters
And scandalous crooks,
Hucksters and cheaters
And dastardly schnooks,
All of them crime records
Filed a mile long...

But who would give drugs to a child?

There are wretched and miserable
Back-stabbing snitches,
Scoundrels and wenches
And spell-casting witches,
Quite reason enough to be
Riled the day long...

But who would give drugs to a child?

There are rude rabble-rousers
And ruffian types,
Snide and presumptuous
Persnickety-snipes,
No wonder they have not
Smiled for so long...

But who would give drugs to a child?

There are slanderous liars
And scalawag sorts,
Scum-bags and flea-bags
With all their cohorts;
No doubt they have been
Defiled all along...

But who would give drugs to a child?

With the life I have previously led, and been able to pull myself out of, you would imagine I would be able to answer this. But not even those guilty of this crime can. When you hit this rut, all you're able to do is what it takes to survive...their addiction is their own problem.

I was one of the children. I received it from another child...the man who provided them to us we saw as a friend...a trusted adult. That's what they pose as. They do things for you no one else ever would. They can be trusted to pick you up when you're parents can't...they tell you things your parents never would.

They're frightening men and women who believe they're helping the child, even though they're selling them drugs (at least the ones I knew).

They're very confused...and it's very very frightening to look back, and realize how thin the line between Hitler and Mother Theresa really is....
