On hot summer nights
when most souls are asleep
the spirits walk in darkness
and embrace they seek
no fancy of personality
or color or race,
most never even take
a look at your face
they walk among the
good and the bad
They seek shelter from
the happy and the sad.
And spirits mengle
and entertwine
makings sweet merry
and drinking white wine
with grapes and spices
to please the palette
spirits walk in darkness
casting shadows
reflextions of love
and laughter fly
some are moaning,
some even cry.
These spirits sore
among the darkness
of the world
They fly, they float,
they glide, they twirl
where we sleep
they breathe on us
soft breaths
of air and fire
casting a spell
of earthly desire.
walk softly though
the grass
Make the
night last
up the
forbidden path.
where are these
spirits going?
what do they see?
Human flesh
like you and me.
Warm bodies
to dwell inside
a comfortable
loving places to hide
come in sweet spirit
and roam no more
my heart is open
walk through the door.
sit down in me
and rest a while
sweet spirit I am
calling you.
Roam no more my child.
