Scared to Love Again

I know why Iím afraid
Afraid to have you love me
ĎCause Iíve loved and Iíve paid
With my heart slain on my sleeve

Itís not that I donít care
I have always cared too much
And Iím not unaware
Of the passion in your touch

But,
Iím too scared to love again_____________!
Sunshine always turns to rain
Dreams dissolve, go down the drain
Pleasure terminates in pain
And Iím too scared to love again_____________!

So donít think that Iím cruel
If I donít confess I love you
Perhaps Iím just a fool
But my lips wonít speak whatís true

ĎCause
Iím too scared to love again_____________!
Memories I canít restrain
Flooding back they rack my brain
Fairytales all end the same
Iím too scared to love again_____________!

Yes,
Iím too scared to love again_____________!
Sunshine always turns to rain
Dreams dissolve, go down the drain
Pleasure terminates in pain
And Iím too scared to love again_____________!

EXCELLENT! The poem beating with love. ďI am too scared to love againÖĒ, ďA Cause I have loved and Iíve paid With my heart.Ē Seems you wrote about me. I guess that some women and men are too alike... But, I never run off and will never run away from the Love.
Only the Love treats for the Love painÖ

I feel that you have great potential! This poem was beautifully written and needs little if no work! I find it very sad.. but true to much of what past loves bring! Good luck to you!!!

This poem is beautiful but so sad. It is not love we have a problem with after we have been hurt but trust. Makes you afraid to let anyone close.
