Oh beautiful and brilliant, my evening star,
Gazing at your beam, and your glory afar.
Visions of hope and serenity, cast out from your beam,
For a moment in time, dreaming an endless dream.
Rushing to peer through the scope, glimpse of a better view,
And so it was to be, my hope was renewed.
Brilliant pod of energy, in God's distant sky,
In awe of your beauty, never questioning why?
Lifting my head upward,
Again, and then again.
Transfixed toward the heaven,
As if it were my only true friend.
Only resting on a prayer,
And the sparkle in mine eyes.
Mesmerized, spiritually finally I'm home,
From just gazing toward the sky.
