Gallery: Zoicite

Zoicite is Queen Beryl's third general. He was trained by Malachite, and the two share a special romantic relationship. His mission was to locate the Seven Rainbow Crystals, return the released Shadow Warriors to the Negaverse, and find the Imperial Silver Crystal.

Zoicite does not have any respect for humans. He is very ambitious and is determined to prove himself to Malachite to earn his pride and love. He fears Queen Beryl, however, and shows her the necessary respect by kneeling before her, bowing his head, and flattering her. Zoicite is vain, conniving, and impatient. He is destroyed by Queen Beryl after he disobeys a direct order, dying in Malachite's arms. It is interesting to note that in the manga version of Sailor Moon, Zoicite is actually portrayed as a male. When Sailor Moon was translated into English the powers to be decided that having what appeared to be a homosexual relationship would not go over too well with the audience. Hence Zoicite became a female.
