Hello Everyone!I am a 55 year old widower with a special needs daughter.I found a love for writing poetry after my wife died of breast cancer three years ago.I had never written anything until after her death.Much of what I put down on paper is born out of the emotions that I experienced since her death. I have already written many poems and continue to write as much as possible, although time is not always kind in that regard. My days are taken up by my job as a Controller and taking care of my special needs daughter (down syndrome).I hope to find out if my poetry is appealing to anyone else, improve my writing skills, and interact with all the other wonderful poets on this site.I love music too and would like to work toward writing some lyrics. I look forward to reading and commenting on all the fine work I see, and becoming a contributing member of this community.Thank you so much for this opportunity !
